Paul is Washington’s and Carlos’s youngest brother. He is 16 years old, and ever since he was a young child he affirmed that he wanted to be a doctor. I know, like his brothers, that he will make a difference in his part of the world. Like his brothers he grew up in tumultuous conditions. Paul is a sensitive, warm and compassionate boy who is a little shy when you first meet him. He is studying hard in school in Cusco, doing exceptionally well. He is taking extra English classes, and his English is progressing nicely. He would also like to take computer classes.
Paul needs an enlightened giver who will commit $250.00 a month for the next two years. This will fund expenses for his schooling, travel, room, and board in Cusco.
His dreams of coming to the U.S. to study Integrative Medicine are becoming a reality, as I am in the process of acquiring a full scholarship for him. This will give him an internationally accredited Ph.D. in Complimentary and Alternative Medicine, which will enable him to practice medicine anywhere in the world!

William, was a thalidomide baby who was neglected by his family and teased by other children. Now 16, he sometimes gets frustrated with his handicap and lashes out in anger. In spite of his deformity he is bright, sensitive, has a great singing voice and loves to sing and dance. He is doing well in school and is a caring youngster who always runs to help when and where needed. I’ll never forget the day we brought him his first pairs of lace-up boots. He was in ecstasy. He stood there cradling them in his arms, caressing them, with a look of sheer delight on his face. $100.00 a month would ensure his wellbeing until he finishes school.

Marlena is a beautiful, sensitive young girl who had an extremely difficult childhood. He father was a physical and sexual abuser who spent time in prison for child rape and spousal abuse. Marlena lived in constant fear. She is sweet and very caring and wants to be a nurse. She will be ready to enter nursing school next year. I know she will excel because she is very insightful and caring. She is delightfully appreciative of anything you do for her. She needs $250.00 a month to cover expenses for her training, travel, room, and board in Cusco. Will you help her?

Maria Lilliana. I heard about a little genius named Maria Lilliana living on the streets. When she was two she saw her mother and sister being raped and both parents then being killed by The Shining Path. She was placed in a foster family where she was sexually abused. When she resisted the abuse, she was put out on the streets. I found her, my heart went out to her, and I took her under my wing. Today she’s adorable, spunky, brilliant in school, and determined to do the same kind of work I do, making a difference in the lives of the destitute and traumatized. She plays the guitar and composes songs. She too will come to the U.S. for her Doctorate in Natural Medicine. Maria Lilliana currently needs advanced tutoring in English at a cost of $150 a month. Will you be the one who makes this possible?

Alverto hopes that all of his brothers and his sister will be fortunate enough to go to school and study, because he realizes the importance of an education. Alverto's sister would like to become a nurse. |
